Territory Representative - Contract

Twelve-month contract maternity leave position responsible for managing retail accounts & selling products to selected customers within our Toronto East Region.

We are looking for a Territory Representative motivated by results that brings a great attitude and strong selling skills to our Sales team. This role will be responsible for covering our Toronto East Region and is a 12 month contract position.
Reporting to our National Sales Director, the Territory Representative manages retail accounts and sells products to selected types of customers or prospects in assigned territory.  Calls existing or potential customers, resolves and/or refers any customer issues to appropriate departments. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement strategic sales plans for assigned retail & practitioner customer accounts to meet target sales revenue and profit;
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with key decision makers in assigned customer accounts;
  • Solicits and maintains favorable contact with current and potential prime accounts.
  • Travels approximately 75-80% of time to call on retail, wholesale, specialty and practitioner accounts across the Island as assigned in base and other geographically approximate territories.
  • Establish trade marketing and sales programs to increase sales with accounts under the direction of management.
  • Grow sales of products, research and resolve any customer issues, recommend modifications to product assortment, and coordinating sales negotiations with appropriate personnel.
  • Provides information for forecasting customer sales.
  • Build displays & product demoing (*requires occasional weekend work). 
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Meet or exceed assigned annual KPIs and expense budget for assigned area
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Highly Motivated, Organized, Customer focused, Collaborative team player;
  • Completion of a University degree with business or marketing focus and/or equivalent combination
    of education and experience.
  • Sales experience within industry considered an asset
  • Direct experience working with accounts and or/ Practitioners considered an asset
  • Solid understanding of selling cycle, fact-based selling and merchandising
  • Excellent relationship-building skills (internally and externally)
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, detail focused.
  • Strong communication skills, including strong presentation skills are required. 
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
